Pulley
Pulleys transmit power through belts between shafts. Groove profile, number of grooves and diameter are matched to the belt section and the speed ratio of the drive.
Send the part number, dimensions or a photo, and the quantity, for price and availability.
Common types
- V-groove pulleys (A, B, C, SPA, SPB, SPC sections)
- Taper-lock pulleys
- Flat belt pulleys
Specifying a pulley
Match the groove profile to the belt section, and the number of grooves to the number of belts. The ratio of the two pulley diameters sets the speed; very small pulleys shorten belt life, so stay above the minimum diameter for the section. Large pulleys running fast must be balanced. Taper-lock bushes make fitting and removal easy.
Pulleys work with our V-belts and are common on fans, pumps, compressors and crusher drives. See all engineering products.
