Cables & Wires

We supply cables and wires for complete electrical projects, from HT feeders to panel wiring. Choosing the right cable depends on the voltage, the current to be carried, the installation method (air, tray, buried or duct) and fire-safety requirements of the building.

Share your cable schedule or bill of quantities with conductor material, size, number of cores, insulation and armouring, and we quote matching cables.

Types available

Types and variants

  • LV power cables – PVC and XLPE insulated, copper or aluminium conductor
  • MV power cables up to 33 kV
  • Control and instrumentation cables (screened / unscreened)
  • Industrial flexible cables, single and multicore
  • Building wires – FR, FRLS and zero-halogen (LSZH) types
  • Fire-survival cables
  • Aerial bunched cables (ABC)
  • Submersible pump cables
  • Solar DC and AC cables
  • Welding cables, coaxial and LAN cables
Buying guide

Choosing the right cable

Cable sizing starts with the load current, but it does not end there. Check the voltage drop over the route length, the short-circuit rating of the conductor, the derating for grouping and ambient temperature, and the installation method – buried, on trays or in conduit. Conductor (copper or aluminium), insulation (PVC or XLPE) and armouring are chosen to suit.

Send your cable schedule or BOQ with sizes, cores, lengths and voltage grade. Cables are often quoted together with LT panels, HT panels and transformers; for solar plants, ask about DC solar cable along with DCDB panels and string combiner boxes.

Applications

Where it is used

FAQ

Cables & Wires – FAQ

Copper or aluminium conductor – which should I choose?

Copper carries more current for the same size and is preferred inside buildings and panels; aluminium is lighter and cheaper and is common for large LV and MV feeders.

What is an FRLS cable?

Flame Retardant Low Smoke cable: its sheath limits flame spread and smoke, which is required in many buildings for safe evacuation.
