Planning an open DG installation
An open set relies on the building around it, so the room matters as much as the generator. Plan for fresh-air inlets and a hot-air outlet sized to the radiator, an exhaust line with a silencer taken outside, a fuel day tank with bunding, and enough clearance around the set for service. A raised concrete foundation with anti-vibration mounts keeps vibration away from the structure.
