Choosing an ELGi compressor
Energy is usually the largest part of a compressor’s lifetime cost, so size to the real demand. For steady demand, a fixed-speed screw compressor works well; for demand that varies through the day, a VFD model can save energy. Oil-free compressors suit food, pharma and electronics where oil in the air is not acceptable.
