DG Synchronising Panel
A synchronising panel lets two or more generators run in parallel on a common bus, matching voltage, frequency and phase before closing the breaker and then sharing load between the sets. It can also synchronise a generator with the utility supply.
Running sets in parallel gives redundancy and lets smaller sets run at efficient loading, starting or stopping units as the load changes.

Why synchronise generator sets?
Running two or more smaller sets in parallel instead of one large set gives redundancy – if one set is down, the others still carry the essential load – and lets you run only as many sets as the load needs, which saves fuel. The synchronising panel matches voltage, frequency and phase before closing each breaker, then shares the load between the sets.
