Motor Control Centre (MCC) Panel
A motor control centre groups the starters, protection and control for many motors in one panel line-up. Each feeder can be a direct-on-line or star-delta starter, a soft starter or a variable frequency drive, with local and remote control as required.
MCCs are built to your motor list, starting method and control philosophy, in fixed or draw-out construction.

Building an MCC around your motors
An MCC is designed from the motor list. For each motor, note the kW, the starting method – direct-on-line, star-delta, soft starter or variable frequency drive – and the control needed (local, remote or from a PLC). Fixed or draw-out feeder modules can be chosen; draw-out designs let a feeder be replaced without shutting down the whole panel.
Choose motors and starters together: an IE3 motor on a VFD saves energy on pumps and fans. For process logic, combine the MCC with an automation control panel. MCCs are fed from the PCC panel. Read more in IE2 vs IE3 vs IE4 motors.
