Preparing a casting enquiry
A casting quotation depends mostly on the part itself, so the more complete the drawing, the faster and more accurate the price. Mark the critical dimensions and tolerances, the machined surfaces, the material grade and standard, and any heat treatment, pressure testing or inspection the part must pass. Give the weight per piece and the yearly quantity, because tooling cost is spread over the order volume.
