V Belts
V-belts transmit power between pulleys through friction on the belt flanks. Classical and narrow wedge sections are available in a range of lengths.
Send the part number, dimensions or a photo, and the quantity, for price and availability.
Common types
- Classical sections A, B, C, D
- Wedge sections SPZ, SPA, SPB, SPC
- Cogged / raw-edge belts
Choosing V-belts
The section is printed on the belt: classical sections (A, B, C, D) and narrow wedge sections (SPZ, SPA, SPB, SPC) are not interchangeable in the same pulley. Wedge belts carry more power for the same width; cogged or raw-edge belts bend around small pulleys more easily and run cooler. On multi-belt drives, replace all belts together as a matched set.
Belts run on our pulleys; check pulley groove wear when replacing belts. See all engineering products, and generator spare parts for DG fan belts.
