Fire Pump Control Panel
A fire pump panel controls the pumps of a building's fire-fighting system. It starts the main electric pump, the jockey pump and the diesel pump automatically when the line pressure drops, and gives clear status and alarm indications to the fire officer.
Panels are configured to the pump ratings and the local fire-safety requirements of the project.

How a fire pump panel works
A fire pump panel watches the pressure in the sprinkler or hydrant network. When a small leak drops pressure, the jockey pump starts to top it up; a larger drop – an open sprinkler or hydrant – starts the main electric pump, and the diesel pump starts if power fails or the main pump does not deliver. The panel must keep running in an emergency, so its controls and alarms are designed for that duty.
Share the pump ratings, starting method, and the fire-safety standard or consultant specification for the project. The panel takes supply from the PCC or a dedicated feeder; ask about DG sets for back-up power. More LT panels.

Fire Pump Control Panel – FAQ
Does the panel start the pumps automatically?
Yes. Pressure switches start the jockey and main pumps automatically, with the diesel pump as back-up, as required by fire-safety norms.
