VCB Panel
A VCB panel uses a vacuum circuit breaker to switch and protect medium-voltage circuits. Vacuum interrupters handle frequent operation and high fault currents with little maintenance, so VCB panels are the standard choice for HT incomers, transformer feeders and motor feeders.
Panels are configured with the breaker rating, relays, metering and interlocks your single-line diagram calls for.

Specifying VCB switchgear
A VCB panel interrupts current inside a vacuum bottle, which gives long contact life and low maintenance for frequent switching. A line-up usually includes incomers, a bus coupler and outgoing feeders to transformers or motors. Key ratings are the rated voltage and current, the short-circuit breaking current and duration, and the protection relay functions – overcurrent, earth fault and, for transformers, differential and restricted earth fault.
